About Rob Eagar
Rob Eagar is a consultant, author, and speaker who helps individuals and organizations spread their message like wildfire. His consulting firm, WildFire Marketing, has attracted numerous clients including businesses, non-profits, and authors. Rob has worked with respected publishing houses including Zondervan (HarperCollins), Howard (Simon & Schuster), Harvest House, and Moody, and consulted with well-known non-profits, such as Campus Crusade, Proverbs 31, and Hearts at Home. He has also trained and worked with over 400 authors, including New York Times bestsellers Dr. Gary Chapman, Lysa TerKeurst, and Wanda Brunstetter.
Rob’s marketing expertise helps clients dramatically increase their product revenue, donations, and book sales. He creates these results by showing how to magnetically attract new customers, donors, and readers through answering the toughest marketing question that consumers ask, “What’s in it for me?" His insights are easy to apply, yet transforming, for a wide range of issues, markets, and genres.
Highlights of the success that Rob creates for his clients include generating over $1,000,000 of revenue for a publisher from a single book, helping two authors hit the New York Times fiction and non-fiction bestseller lists, and transforming the reputation of several non-profits through new branding campaigns, website makeovers, and marketing strategies.
Rob is the author of Sell Your Book Like Wildfire, which will release June, 2012 as the definitive guide for writers on book marketing and publicity. He is a contributor to numerous blogs and websites on marketing topics and serves as a weekly columnist for the Writer’s Digest blog, There Are No Rules. He is also a frequent speaker on marketing topics at writers conferences, publishing conferences, and trade associations.
Rob’s background includes over 10 years experience in the textile industry as a regional and national sales manager, public speaking for over 10 years to more than 35,000 people at over 180 events, and generating a six-figure income as an entrepreneur from his first book, “Dating with Pure Passion.” His national media appearances include interviews on the CBS Early Show, CNN Radio, and the Los Angeles Times. He has a degree in marketing from Auburn University.
When Rob isn’t consulting, you’ll find him flying down a rocky trail on his mountain bike or loudly playing his drums. However, his wife, Ashley, prefers that he join her to quietly paint, work in their garden, or watch Jane Austen movies. They reside in Atlanta,Georgia.
