Important Security Notice:
Online Scammers Are Impersonating
Rob Eagar and Wildfire Marketing
I want to alert you that fraudulent emails are being sent to authors and falsely claiming to be from me or my company, Wildfire Marketing.
The email scam usually arrives from a GMail address and uses A.I. summaries of an author’s book to entice the recipient to inquire about book promotion services.
These emails are not coming from me. While I don’t know the exact intent of the scam, messages like this are commonly used to lure recipients into clicking links, sharing credentials, or making payments.
Please Note:
1. I do not send unsolicited “book promotion” requests or inquiries like this.
2. I will never request payment, login credentials, or urgent action via an unexpected email.
3. If you receive this scam email purporting to be me, do not click any links, reply, or provide information.
How to verify legitimate emails from me:
My emails come from the Wildfire Marketing business address ending in:
@StartaWildfire.com
When in doubt, you can always contact me directly via email, phone, or the contact form on my website.
If you’ve already clicked a link or responded to the message, please let me know right away so that I can make you aware of the scam.
I wanted to make sure you heard this directly from me. Thanks for staying vigilant. As always, feel free to reach out if you have any questions.
