For the past 18 years, I’ve focused on teaching authors how to market their books.
That meant creating online courses, webinars, books, and step-by-step instruction designed to help as many writers as possible navigate a confusing industry.
That work mattered — and it still does.
But as we enter 2026, I want to tell you about a shift that’s been quietly taking shape behind the scenes.
I’m moving away from building more courses, webinars, and entry-level products, and toward working more closely with a small number of authors at a much higher strategic level.
This isn’t about doing more.
It’s about doing different work — with the right people.
Over the past decade, I’ve coached more than 1,000 authors and worked with numerous New York Times and USA Today bestselling writers. What I’ve learned is this:
At a certain stage, authors don’t need more information. They need judgment.
They don’t need another checklist. They need clarity.
They don’t need motivation. They need strategy that accounts for reality — timing, positioning, risk, tradeoffs, and long-term leverage.
Online courses are excellent for learning fundamentals, but they aren’t very effective when the stakes are high.
As authors grow — especially professionals, entrepreneurs, and serious fiction writers — the questions change:
• Is this launch even eligible for a major bestseller list?
• What mistakes would permanently damage my chances?
• Where should I focus limited time and budget?
• How do I turn a book into long-term revenue?
Those questions don’t have generic answers. They require context, experience, and discernment.
That’s why my work moving forward will increasingly center around private coaching and high-level advisory services for authors who already have momentum and want senior guidance rather than step-by-step instruction.
This type of work isn’t for everyone. It assumes an author has:
• a finished (or nearly finished) manuscript
• a real publishing goal, not just writing as a hobby
• an ability to execute independently or with a team
Here’s what clients will receive from me:
• intelligent bestseller eligibility planning
• avoidance of costly, irreversible mistakes
• disciplined launch strategy
• clear path to turn books into authority and business leverage
I’m sharing this now not as a sales announcement, but as a signal.
If you’ve found value in my teaching over the years but feel you’ve outgrown courses and webinars, you’ll likely see that my Book Marketing Master Class and brand-new Strategic Bestseller Advisory service speaks directly to you.
If you’re earlier in your author journey, my existing books and private Q&A sessions will remain available and continue to do exactly what they were designed to do – help you increase your book sales.
Every long-term business evolves. After 18 years, my work as a coach and consultant is evolving towards more focus, depth, and selectivity.
If you have any questions about this evolution, feel free to ask.
I look forward to sharing more details as we progress into 2026.
