Marketing for the Future

As we enter Fall and near the end of 2016, I’m happy to report that Wildfire Marketing is having its best year ever. Not only have we helped more new individual and large organizational clients than before, there’s a great satisfaction in seeing former clients continue to succeed at a high level.

For example, as of last week, three former Wildfire Marketing clients, Lysa TerKeurst, Wanda Brunstetter, and Dr. John Townsend, were all on the Publishers Weekly bestseller lists at the same time. Two are on the New York Times bestseller list. It’s exciting to see these authors continue to sustain success over such a long period of time. All three share something in common. Since I’ve known them, they continue to market just as much today as they did in the past. They haven’t stopped to rest on their laurels. Their prolonged growth brings up an important question for you to consider:

Do you view marketing as a short-term fix or a long-term future?

Are you learning about marketing with the unrealistic hope that it will quickly cure an immediate business problem and double your sales? Or, do you recognize that marketing is an on-going effort that will grow your business if executed consistently over time? It’s the difference between the fabled rabbit and hare mentality. Effective marketing is meant to be viewed like slow-cooking a dinner rather than microwaving a meal. You do it consistently over time instead of random brief campaigns every now and then.

Learn from my former clients who continue to market well and reap the rewards. Look long-term, rather than short-term. Marketing is not meant to be lightning in a bottle. It is the steady electricity that powers your business growth for years to come.

Lysa_TerKeurst_sm“I give Rob Eagar and Wildfire Marketing my highest recommendation. If you want to increase book sales, grow your number of speaking engagements, and make both your written and spoken messages life-changing for your audience, make Rob the first person you hire.”
